Job Description

Client Brief:
Our client is an integrated financial service provider in East Africa, partnering with individuals and corporates to offer financial solutions including General Insurance, Life Insurance, Asset Management, Investment, and Banking.
Job Summary: Our client is seeking a dynamic Telemarketer who can generate sales through cold calling and by responding to customer inquiries in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for influencing existing or potential customers to purchase the company’s products or services. The primary goal is to promote business growth by expanding and closing digital leads generated from the company’s digital channels.
Duties and Responsibilities
Cold call potential customers to sell the company’s products and services.
Share key selling points for the products and services.
Answer questions about the products and services.
Recommend products and services based on customer needs.
Use scripts to provide information about product features, prices, and benefits.
Ask pertinent questions to understand customer requirements.
Persuade customers to buy by demonstrating how the services meet their needs.
Accurately record customer personal information.
Complete orders and notify the appropriate department.
Handle complaints or doubts to maintain the company’s reputation.
Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quotas and facilitate future sales.
Keep records of calls and sales and record useful information.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
Proven experience as a telemarketer or in a similar sales/customer service role.
Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quotas, preferably over the phone.
Proficiency in cross-selling, upselling, and cold-selling techniques.
Being bilingual is an added advantage.
Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g., CRM software) and telephone systems.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Quick learner of new products or services.
Ability to market each product or service effectively.
Works well independently with good time management skills.
Proficient in English and Luganda.
Skilled in negotiation and handling complaints.
Persistent, results-oriented, and patient.
Able to handle customer rejection, aggressiveness, and complaints.
Friendly and persuasive demeanor.
Ability to understand customer requirements quickly and present suitable solutions.
