Job Description

Our Client, a leading provider of I.T Solutions and Office Automation equipment in East Africa, is seeking to hire a HR Business Partner for their Uganda branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering a positive work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct annual manpower planning to meet business needs.

  • Manage the interview and recruitment process.

  • Maintain updated information on the organization’s structure.

  • Address performance issues, including Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and probation.

  • Prepare performance and productivity reports related to HR interventions.

  • Identify training needs in collaboration with Senior HR partners.

  • Handle staff administration and legal matters.

  • Manage separations, contract renewals, work permits, and disciplinary matters.

  • Oversee compensation, allowances, internal transfers, and bank-related matters.

  • Compile monthly payroll advice.

  • Maintain accurate organizational data for HR metrics.

  • Prepare HR metric reports for the Board of Directors..

  • Oversee the Occupational Health & Safety committee and program for

  • Manage inpatient and outpatient medical schemes.

  • Oversee staff welfare programs and schemes..

  • Assist in developing and reviewing the Internship Policy.

  • Collaborate with business heads to plan manpower requirements, conduct recruitment interviews, and manage performance.

  • Identify training gaps and plan trainings with heads of business.

Qualification, Experiences and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. Preferably in a similar industry

  • Working knowledge of Ugandan labor laws, employment legislation, and HR best practices.

  • Talent Management Training

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication, Analytical skills, Problem-solving skills
