Job Description
Our Client, a leading provider of I.T Solutions and Office Automation equipment in East Africa, is seeking to hire a HR Business Partner for their Uganda branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering a positive work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct annual manpower planning to meet business needs.
Manage the interview and recruitment process.
Maintain updated information on the organization’s structure.
Address performance issues, including Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and probation.
Prepare performance and productivity reports related to HR interventions.
Identify training needs in collaboration with Senior HR partners.
Handle staff administration and legal matters.
Manage separations, contract renewals, work permits, and disciplinary matters.
Oversee compensation, allowances, internal transfers, and bank-related matters.
Compile monthly payroll advice.
Maintain accurate organizational data for HR metrics.
Prepare HR metric reports for the Board of Directors..
Oversee the Occupational Health & Safety committee and program for
Manage inpatient and outpatient medical schemes.
Oversee staff welfare programs and schemes..
Assist in developing and reviewing the Internship Policy.
Collaborate with business heads to plan manpower requirements, conduct recruitment interviews, and manage performance.
Identify training gaps and plan trainings with heads of business.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. Preferably in a similar industry
Working knowledge of Ugandan labor laws, employment legislation, and HR best practices.
