Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Care and Clinical Duties:
Diagnose and treat patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
Administer medications, therapies, and other treatments.
Provide emergency care as needed.
Perform minor surgical procedures if qualified.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage medical staff, including nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure compliance with medical protocols, policies, and regulations.
Oversee the maintenance of accurate medical records and patient confidentiality.
Coordinate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure integrated patient care.
Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for the medical department.
Public Health and Community Outreach:
Engage in public health initiatives and community health education.
Monitor and control the spread of infectious diseases.
Implement vaccination and preventive care programs.
Training and Education:
Train and mentor junior medical staff and interns.
Conduct continuing education sessions and workshops for healthcare staff.
Stay updated with the latest medical research and advancements.
Research and Development:
Participate in clinical research studies.
Develop and implement new medical protocols and procedures.
Contribute to scientific publications and medical conferences.
Ethical and Legal Responsibilities:
Uphold ethical standards in patient care and medical practice.
Ensure informed consent is obtained from patients for treatments and procedures.
Maintain compliance with legal requirements in medical practice.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Educational Qualifications:
Medical degree (MBBS, MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
Postgraduate specialization in a relevant medical field (optional but preferred for specific roles).
Experience:
Clinical experience through internships and residency programs.
Experience in a relevant medical specialty may be required for certain positions.
