Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluate the creditworthiness of an individual or company.
Assess the credit risk of a customer by analyzing savings information, debt repaying history, earnings, and purchase activities.
Recommend to the company whether to provide credit terms to a customer.
Review the credit limits of existing customers to determine if they qualify for an increase in their credit limit.
Gather relevant financial data from the customer and write a report on whether the customer’s current financial condition allows them to meet their financial obligations.
Assist in credit proposal preparation by data collection and research activities.
Ensure that all requirements for facilities are handled promptly and efficiently.
Coordinate with Operations to ensure that customer requests are attended and resolved.
Coordinate with CAD to ensure that facility documents are lodged and limits encoded.
Follow up with customers on Temporary Over Drafts (TODs) and prepare deficiency reports.
Maintain regular contact with key relationships in consultation with relevant RMs / SRMs / AVPs to ensure servicing is as per their satisfaction.
Assist RMs / SRMs / AVPs in day to day servicing of the relationships and acting as their back-up in their absence while ensuring provision of high quality and timely service to clients.
Co-coordinating with Credit to ensure proposals/ approvals are approved and followed up in an efficient and timely manner.
Identify risk issues in discrepant transactions and advise RM / SRM / AVP / Unit Head on the same.
Updating MIS on a monthly basis for a) tracking of portfolio balances & revenues, b) new relationship bookings and initiatives etc.
Monitor excess report & LMR and ensure that it is timely reviewed by the RM’s.
Assist RMs / SRMs / AVPs in their marketing initiatives (proposals, follow-up, appointments etc.).
Enter, update, and retrieve information for credit applications to determine the applicant’s worthiness.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Islamic Finance, or a related field
Details of experience
3-4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or credit analysis, preferably in Islamic banking
Knowledge, skills and competences
Strong background in financial analysis, including ratio analysis, financial statement analysis, and risk assessment.
Knowledge of Sharia principles and Islamic finance products is an added advantage.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
