CPA Alex Ocitti is a full member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), the professional body that regulates the accountancy profession in Uganda. He completed the Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (CPA-U) course in a record 2 years, from March 2017 to March 2019. He was recognized at the 11th graduation ceremony of ICPAU for his outstanding performance.

He had to overcome the frustration of failing an interview because he did not have a professional qualification. He had to study hard and smart to pass all the 18 papers of the CPA course.

You should also surround yourself with supportive people who will encourage you and celebrate your achievements.
Discipline
CPA Alex Ocitti was disciplined in his studies and his time management. He followed a strict study schedule that he designed for himself. He allocated enough time for each paper and each topic. He also balanced his studies with other aspects of his life, such as exercise, rest and socialization.
He says that discipline is essential for success in any endeavor. Without discipline, you will not be able to stick to your plans and achieve your goals. You will be easily distracted and procrastinate on your tasks. You will also compromise on the quality of your work and your performance.
